There will be a short meeting immediately after school tomorrow in the high school gym for any boy in grade 7-12 interested in playing basketball this year.  Fall athletes should also attend.

 

Any 7th - 12th grade girl interested in trying out to play basketball this year MUST sign up!  Sign-up sheets and try-out details are available in the high school office. Be sure to pick the sign-up sheet that matches your grade level. Grade 7 and 8 tryouts will be held on Monday, October 21 and Wednesday October 23 from 7:30 pm – 9pm.  Grade 9-12 tryouts will be held on October 14 from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm and October 15 from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm.

 

If you need some extra library time, the elementary Library will be open until 3:45 every Wednesday.

 

Permission slips for those going to the Anthony Munoz Leadership conference need to be turned in to Ms. Orazali or Ms. Mahan by Friday.

 

Seniors, please turn your Findlay Market field trip permission slips in by Friday.

 

If you are interested in middle or high school academic team, please stop by the office to see Mr. Caudill.

 

If you lost a pair of glasses, please see Ms Mahan in the office.

As we continue with Red Ribbon Week, we want you to know that Ludlow High School is committed to encouraging a drug free lifestyle.  We love our students and we want you to lead a happy, healthy, fun and wonderful life. Make a commitment to yourself that you will make healthy choices.  You won’t regret it!

 

Themes this week:

Friday:  Don’t get wrapped up in drugs and alcohol!  Wear all white!

 

Any students interested in hiking, exploring, and playing field activities at Mt. Airy Forest on Saturday, November 9th with the Adventure Crew needs to sign up with Ms. Goodpaster by the end of the day tomorrow.  

 

Veteran’s Day is Monday, November 11th.  If you have a family member that is a veteran, we would like to invite you and your special veteran to the Veteran’s Day breakfast.  You must RSVP and limited space is available. RSVP’s are due tomorrow.  See Ms. Mahan for more information.  We look forward to honoring our veterans.

 

Reminder to students that if you are late to school, you must check in the office with Ms. Mahan when you arrive and before going to class.  This includes if you have an early dismissal and then return to school the same day.

 

Reminder to all off campus students…you must be present for PAWS and Clubs on Fridays and you must be on time. This is not optional.  If you are late, you will be issued a tardy unless you have a valid excuse from a parent or a doctor. 

 

Any students that were given beginning of the year paperwork last Friday and today from Ms Mahan…you need to return those forms TOMORROW! 

 

 

There is no after school meal today.

Happy Red Ribbon Week! By choosing to be drug free, you are investing in your current and future health.  You don’t have to use drugs to fit in! Celebrate your uniqueness and show it to the world!

 

Themes this week:

Thursday:  We aren’t letting unhealthy choices haunt us!  Wear your Halloween costume!  

Don’t forget the rules for costumes! If you have any questions, see Ms. Mahan in the office.

Friday:  Don’t get wrapped up in drugs and alcohol!  Wear all white!

It’s Red Ribbon Week! SADD would like to show our school's commitment to being drug-free. By choosing to be drug free, you are sending a message to yourself and others that you value yourself, your overall health, your community and your future.  By making this choice, you are much more likely to achieve your goals.  Aim for the stars, we believe in you!

There are different themes each day and you can find those themes posted in the hallway throughout the school. Tomorrow’s theme is Team Up Against Unhealthy Choices so wear your favorite team jersey or tshirt!

 

BooGrams will be on sale for 50 cents each in the cafeteria during lunch until Thursday, October 30th.

Those going on the Anthony Munoz conference field trip tomorrow, please meet Mrs Orzali in Mr. Keller’s room (HS Library) by 8am. Lunch will be provided and you’ll be arriving back to school around 2:15pm. 

 

Any student interested in trying out for basketball MUST have a current KHSAA Sports Physical on file prior to tryouts.  Blank forms are available in the high school office and on the Ludlow High School website on the Athletics page.  Students must also have Final Forms completed.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Schmidt in M305.

 

Picture re-take day is Thursday, October 24th.

This is also for any student that was absent on the first picture day.  We would like to be sure that every student has had their picture taken so there is a current picture in Infinite Campus and for the yearbook.  If you are interested in purchasing pictures, order forms are available in the high school office.  If you already purchased pictures and are having them re-taken, you must return the original pictures to the photographer at the time of your re-take.
